First things, first.  I am a newly recruited PPL Associate and by default an early member of BlastOff. 

I became an associate because legal services may be of value to some of my clients and customers who are generally operating small businesses in the fitness industry. 

However, I never recommend anything that I don't personally use myself.  I know, it's old school.  But I still place high value on personal trust among my business relationships.  You know, the handshake.  The recommendation.  The referral. 

So, it's important for me, personally and professionally to dig in and learn about PPL and BlastOff.   I'll remain as objective as possible throughout this site.  The purpose is NOT to recruit you (although I'll take it if you decide to join).  Please e-mail me if you find inaccuracies or misleading data.   email me. 

How I got started with BlastOff.

• This past September (2009) a neighbor explained the advantages of Pre-Paid Legal Services (PPL).  At first, I was reluctant because we already have a "pit-bull" corporate litigator on retainer.  After some thought, however, it seemed to make sense since legal services are often required to deal with simple copyright infringements and other issues that necessitate "Cease & Desist" letters, contractual agreements, ect.  There's no need to pay my attorney $300 an hour for such simple stuff.

• Also, PPL offers an identity theft service similar to LifeLock.  Since I make online purchases my accounts are, no doubt, exposed.  Identity theft services (no matter who you choose) are really a necessity for anybody doing business online.

• Finally, my neighbor made the point that I may have a lot of contacts and clients that might benefit from these services too.... and that I could earn a commission if they purchased Pre-Paid Legal Services through me.  I know.  That was the pitch... and I took it... hook, line and sinker!   The total "limited time offer" would only cost $72 to become a Fast Start Associate.  Plus Identity Theft Shield $17 and $25 per month for the legal services.  So, it was $99 start up plus $25 a month.   At the end of the day, the Value Proposition of being a PPL Associate meets my needs... even if I don't sell a single thing.
